Diversity and high-tech competitiveness

Lessons about innovation excerpted from “Inside Innovation” column of Jan. 2, 2007:

“The fact that high-tech companies have so few female engineers and executives is potentially an issue not only of fairness, but also of competitiveness.

“If male-dominated high-tech companies produce innovations that appeal to men but not to women, that’s a competitive problem.”
